Comment policy
Comments are for readers to add experience, questions and corrections to an article. They appear as soon as you post them; the editor removes those that break these rules.
What we remove
- Spam, advertising and links posted for promotion.
- Insults, harassment, threats and hateful content.
- Personal data of other people, and anything illegal.
- Posing as someone else, including as the editor or the publication.
- Comments that have nothing to do with the article.
Addresses that keep breaking the rules may be blocked from commenting.
How comments work
- Comments are plain text, up to 2,000 characters with at most two links; links are shown as text, not as clickable links.
- You can reply to a comment; replies stay in one thread under it.
- Comments are open for 90 days after an article is published.
- Replies from the editor are marked Editor.
- Every comment has a Report button. A comment reported by several readers is hidden until the editor reviews it.
Your comments
By posting, you let us show your comment under the article. Comments are the opinions of their authors, not of The Stack Sentinel. To have a comment of yours removed, write to us through the contact page. What we store about comments is described in the privacy notice.
